The Collective Transport System (STC) Metro reported that Line 2 of the Mexico City Metro will operate under a special scheme this Thursday, April 2. This special scheme will involve the closure of three stations and the division of service into two segments. According to the agency, 'On Thursday, April 2, Line 2 will operate from the start of the day with two segments in service,' which will be from Tasqueña to Xola and from Cuatro Caminos to Pino Suárez. During this period, the stations Chabacano, Viaducto, and San Antonio Abad will remain closed, with the latter having been out of service for several previous weeks. As an alternative, STC indicated that users will be able to use units of the Passenger Transport Network (RTP) on the Xola–Pino Suárez segment, in both directions, with the aim of facilitating mobility. 'On Friday, April 3, Line 2 will operate continuously, from Tasqueña to Cuatro Caminos and vice versa,' Metro specified in its statement. On that day, service will be provided under a holiday schedule, from 07:00 to 24:00. Capital authorities recommended that users anticipate their trips, consider alternative routes, and take precautions due to the operational modifications on this line that connects the south and north of Mexico City.
